Great Dog Walks
South West Coast Path
This iconic path offers breathtaking views, with a popular route from St Ives to Zennor, about six miles, hilly in places, and can be windy, so keep your dog on a lead unless well-trained. The Tinner's Arms in Zennor is dog-friendly, offering a rest stop with beers and pub food, and a taxi service for return if needed, which is also dog-friendly for clean dogs.
Steeple Woodland Nature Reserve
A 40-acre green space in Carbis Bay, it provides walks through heathland, ancient woodland, and new plantations, with fantastic views over St Ives Bay. It's wheelchair accessible with flat paths, and features a freshwater stream, making it pawfect (sorry) for playful pups.
Note an old mine shaft near the entrance, fenced but best to keep dogs on a lead initially if they chase wildlife.

Tips for Dog Owners
Tide Times
Essential for tidal beaches like Bamaluz, check times to avoid getting caught by high tide, which can cover the beach quickly.
Leash Laws
Dogs must be on a lead at Una St Ives resort and in certain areas like the start of Steeple Woodland due to an old mine shaft. Be mindful on the South West Coast Path, especially in windy conditions.
Clean Up
Always carry bags to clean up after your dog, especially on beaches and in public areas like Steeple Woods, where there's a dog poo bin provided.
Respect Others
Ensure your dog is well-behaved to not disturb other visitors or wildlife, particularly in nature reserves and busy beach areas during peak times.
