Una St Ives Holiday Lets are NOT in administration

As we move into 2025, we want to reassure guests that all Una St Ives holiday lodges, villas, and the Una Spa and Leisure facilities, including Carbis Bay Lodge, remain fully open and operational. In October 2024, some local media reports suggested that Una St Ives was in administration, which has understandably caused confusion. So, what is actually happening?

Addressing the Administration Narrative

The 34 holiday lodges and villas at Una St Ives all are privately and individually owned. We, the owners of Carbis Bay Lodge, are one of these 34 owners. Additionally, the Una Spa and Leisure facilities - which include the indoor and outdoor swimming pools, sauna, spa, gym, and the Carbis Café - are owned and operated by a separate company, Carbis Club Limited. These businesses are financially and operationally independent from any other entity.

However, the freehold land on which these lodges and businesses sit is owned by Kingfisher Una Resorts Limited (KURL). This company entered administration in 2024 and is currently undergoing a sale process.

It’s important to emphasise that KURL’s financial situation is not connected to and does not affect the ongoing operation of the holiday lodges or leisure facilities. The lodges, spa, and other resort amenities continue to function without disruption and remain available for bookings.

Una St Ives Holiday Lets are Open as Usual

Despite the freeholder’s situation, the holiday accommodations and facilities at Una St Ives continue to offer seamless service and exceptional experiences for guests. Bookings can be made as usual via trusted third-party platforms such as:

These ABTA accredited platforms ensure secure, reliable reservations, allowing you to book your stay with full confidence.

What this means for Una St Ives guests in 2025

If you’re planning a visit to Una St Ives, rest assured that:

  • The holiday lodges and villas remain privately owned and fully operational.

  • The Una Spa and Leisure facilities continue to provide their full range of wellness and fitness services.

  • The Carbis Café remains open, serving delicious food, drinks, and artisan treats.

  • The administration process affects only the freehold land owner (KURL) and does not impact guest stays.
