Una St Ives Lido Reopens for the 2025 Season

It’s that time of year again - our favourite time - when the Una St Ives heated outdoor lido reopens for another season of sunshine and swimming.
From the chic décor and the open-air 20-metre pool heated to a toasty 25°C, to the stylish loungers, retractable patio covers, and al fresco eating area, every detail has been designed to transport you straight to the Med.
By night, the lido transforms with underwater lighting, creating a tranquil oasis of calm and quiet. As Muddy Stilettos put it: “an unexpected oasis of calm and quiet.”
Completed in December 2022 as part of Una’s major expansion, the lido welcomes guests from April to October each year. It’s one of the largest outdoor heated pools in the region—a perfect place to swim, unwind, or soak up the Cornish sunshine.
Maintained at a constant 24–25°C, the pool is ideal even on cooler days, early mornings, or peaceful evening swims. After your dip, head for the jacuzzi, steam room, or sauna to complete the experience.
For younger swimmers, there’s also a dedicated outdoor kids’ pool nearby, meaning the whole family can enjoy a splash.
And if that’s still not warm enough? Head back to your lodge and slip into your private hot tub, heated to 37°C—the perfect end to a pool day.
The lido area is family-friendly, with loungers, shaded areas, a poolside bar, alfresco eating area, and towel/robe hire available (subject to availability).
As Cornwall Live wrote: “It reminded us of holidays we enjoyed in Greece or Sardinia…” That’s exactly the vibe.
Swimming times are split as follows:
Adult-only swims: 6:30–8:00 AM and 6:30–8:30 PM
Family swims: 8:00 AM–6:30 PM
The indoor infinity pool follows the same schedule for those seeking to stay out of the sun - or rain!
Personally, Una St Ives Lido is my happy place. When the family makes it down to Una, I’m often in there by 7am, doing 50 (ish) lengths with the pool all to myself. Bliss.
